We organise some annual events in which you can remember your baby.
In June we celebrate Sands Awareness Week. This is a week where people can find out more about the work Sands do to help save babies lives and support bereaved families.
Please see our event page for how we celebrate the week.
Baby Loss Awareness Week is an opportunity to bring bereaved families together as a community and give anyone touched by pregnancy and baby loss a safe and supportive space to share their experiences and feel that they are not alone.
Locally we work in partnership with MISS charity to organise events in remembrance of all babies such as Hanging Wooden Heart son a tree at Hazlehead Park for the week, Wave of Light Services and the Lighting of Buildings Pink and Blue.

Christmas can be a particularly difficult time for families so to provide some comfort a short memorial service is held in Dec in the chapel at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
There are 2 services the first being a quiet service with no children present then a second service for families. The services are open to anyone who has been affected by pregnancy loss.
Dates of these services can be found on the events page.
